Crocodile Clutch

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic Crochet Stitches
  • Post Stitches
  • Sewing Straight Seems (for lining)

Pattern Description:

The first time I saw the crocodile stitch I fell in love. The stitch is beautiful when used in an afghan or scarf, but I thought, "Why not add a little bling?" Sparkly yarn and shiny beads give this quick project all the glamour you'll need for a night on the town or a pick-me-up on a cloudy day.

This lovely little bag is a perfect project for learning the popular crocodile stitch and an easy introduction to crocheting with beads. Available in both US and UK terminology, the pattern also includes a detailed chart.

However, if you gauge doesn't match the pattern's you may need to adjust the lining template based upon your finished measurements.
