Basic Skills Necessary:

  • sc - single crochet
  • sc2tog - single crochet two sts together
  • dc - double crochet
  • changing color
  • FPsc - Front Post single crochet
  • Working in the round

Pattern Description:

This hat has many openings, and is also good for warm, or even hot weather conditions. It also has a small visor that protects your eyes from sunlight. Hat is suitable for both boys, and girls. However, the "girls hat" will have a decorative flower.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 0-6 months - 15" around, 5.0" tall;
  • 6-12 months - 16" around, 5.5" tall;
  • 12-24 months - 18" around, 6.0" tall.
  • 2 - 4 years - 19.5" around, 6.5" tall;
  • 4- 8 years /Adult - 21" around, 7.0" tall;


  • G6 (4.00 mm) and 7 (4.5 mm) crochet hooks
  • Three colors of Peaches & Creme (100% Cotton; 70.9 g/ 2.5oz.; 111.6m/122yds) or other Worsted Weight yarn;
