I've been crocheting for a number of years now. I started out to find something to keep my hands busy while watching TV-better than snacking. I very quickly became addicted. When I found myself altering patterns I decided it was time to start designing my own. I began crocheting children's hats for Halos of Hope in 2010. They are a great organization that sends soft hats to chemo centers all over the USA. I hope my silly hats can bring some happiness to a child fighting a terrible disease. Please check them out at halosofhope.org.

The Black Raspberry Shawl Pattern creates a beautiful triangular shaped shawl. Or you can wear it as a scarf or cowl. The pattern is written with DK yarn (Bernat Cotton-ish) but you should be able to use whatever yarn you like. Heavier yarn will yield a larger shawl, thinner yarn will yield a smaller shawlette.
BONUS: Now every purchased Crochet by Darleen Hopkins pattern comes with the Crazy Frog Hat! The Crazy Frog pattern has been added to the BlackRaspberryShawl.pdf. Learn more about him here: http://www.craftsy.com/project/view/crazy-frog-hat/59709
Pattern is copyrighted however you do have permission sell finished products made with the pattern. Please credit Darleen Hopkins as the designer.
Gauge stated in pattern but exact gauge is not essential. If your gauge is close to stated gauge, your finished shawl will be close to the reported measurements.
