I love to design hats for preemies as 3 of my babies were premature. They need hats! Lots of them! Hospitals need these hats, and even though I made this one in pink, it sure could be made in blues or browns for baby boys too.
The shell stitch makes this fancy looking, in fact 'difficult to make' looking, but it really isn't hard at all. I don't like difficult patterns, so my patterns are all pretty simple.
You can make this hat to fit larger babies too, to keep all of them nice and cozy warm this winter! Enjoy!
Gauge: 5 shells = 4" 7 rows = 4.25"
