Pattern Description:

I created this pattern because it allows you to create subtle and elegant ear flaps with ties all without having to cut or reattach your yarn! The main body of this hat is Half Double Crochet for a tighter look, but if you prefer a quicker project in the same style please check out my Amelia Ear Flap Hat for the Double Crochet version.

Materials
Yarn: Weight 4 (Medium worsted-weight) yarns (examples made with Bernat Super Value, Lion Brand Cotton Ease, Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool, and Stitch Nation Wool)
Hook Size: H, or size needed for specified gauge

Gauge 3.5 hdc stitches = 1", 2.5 hdc rows = 1"
