Pattern Description:

This is a stunning, intricate beanie hat inspired by Galadriel, one of J.R.R. Tolkien's most beloved characters. Galadriel was also known as Alatriel, meaning "maiden crowned with a radiant garland". This hat features a twisted cable brim and a delicate leaf stitch pattern, and its design evokes the delicate beauty of the forest realm of the Elves. This pattern contains helpful, clear photos and easy to follow, detailed instructions; perfect for an advanced intermediate crocheter!


7 hdc with C hook = 1", and 5 rows of hdc = 1" long. Gauge is somewhat forgiving due to the slouchy nature of this hat.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Hat brim measures approximately 19.5" around and 2.25" wide, and will stretch. Finished hat measures approximately 9-9.5" long.
  • One Size Fits Most


  • Hook: Size C/2 (2.75mm), or size to obtain correct gauge.
