I'm always searching for summer hats that will protect my face from the sun and also be flattering to wear. This hat does the trick! It's easy to wear and when the sun goes down you can roll it up and put it in your pocket.
This is an easy to crochet sunhat that will keep your head cool. It's quick to make and uses only 1 ball of inexpensive, easy to find cotton yarn. Openwork lace is used at the crown to keep your head from overheating and prevent hat hair. The brim is tightly crocheted to provide shade from the sun. The elegant retro 1940s style will remind you of Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca.
* The pattern is 4 pages long, very detailed, and includes 8 colored photographs.
* The clear instructions are given in words and sentences (not abbreviations) so that even new crocheters will find this hat simple to make.
* The pattern is written in a step-by-step manner so that you won't get lost making this.
* Large, readable print is used. You won't have to squint to read it.
* The pattern is suitable for advanced beginners. Experienced crocheters will also enjoy using it.
* As always with KnittingGuru patterns there are suggestions for ways to alter the hat design so that you can use the pattern over and over again.
* My email is included with the pattern so that you can always contact me for help if you have any questions.
