Can this be made without the cord? Does the pattern change if it is done without the cord for a softer look?

You can get different types of macrame yarn. Cotton, hemp, nylon etc. I have nylon, is it ok to use any type?

Never mind I tried the nylon and it is obviously too stiff. Will need to buy some cotton.

The pattern could easily be adjusted. It is basically two pieces - a rectangle that could be made longer (I would say about 3-4" longer and a trapezoid that you could add a couple more stitches to make it wider. It should be very easy.

I'm wondering if this cowl will fit a large chested lady! :)
