Sculpture with Internal Frame--2 Days--By Roland & Marsha Winbeckler--Necessary Supplies for Use During Class & Lunch Included--Held at the Sugar Arts Institute, Ephrata, PA-- Learn to create eye-popping edible sculptures. The Winbeckler's will share their knowledge of which materials and icings work best for sculptures, how to create the internal support, how to shape and sculpt a figure, and how to form the features that make their sculptures "come to life." Each student will sculpt and decorate a figure approx. 20" high that includes an internal support. There will also be a brief discussion on how to create various types of internal support for other types of sculptures. The basic techniques shown in class are the same used to create other figures including the Winbeckler's famous life-size sculptures. For more info and registration instructions, see:

Airbrush Techniques Class--1 Day--By Roland & Marsha Winbeckler--Necessary Supplies for Use During Class & Lunch Included--Held at the Sugar Arts Institute, Ephrata, PA-- Learn how to get the most from an airbrush and how to create impressive designs using this versatile cake decorating tool. Students will learn how to operate and care for an airbrush, what types of airbrushes work well for cake decorating (surprisingly, more expensive does not necessarily mean better), what exercises to practice to gain better control, how to cut and use custom stencils, and how to add special effects to their cakes. Don't worry if you don't have an airbrush, an airbrush set (airbrush/compressor) is provided for use during the class! The Winbeckler's will share their many years of airbrushing experience, and students will leave class feeling more comfortable with an airbrush and ready to use the designs and techniques taught in class.
