Objectively, this is a great course!!

Get a grip pple, this course is great and the instructor is very competent, and I would highly recommend this course to anyone.
I have taken 57 craftsy courses and believe I can objectively assess the good from the not so good instructors and courses.
The course is about how to slip stitch. The instructor does a great job of teaching this and fulfills the objectives of the course.
The instructor is clear on how to pickup stitches and how to start and end logs. Thereafter, the ...

This course has very little instruction. If I wasn't an experienced knitter I would be so lost. The instructor isn't clear and shows things different ways without explaining them. She also is not clear in the questions people post and they have to ask multiple times, still not getting a complete answer from the instructor. Save your money. All the other Craftsy courses I have taken have been excellent.

A knit-along class

I would describe this class as a knit-along get clear descriptions on how to work each log. I have knitted for over 20 years, but have actually never been introduced to slip stitch patterns...only stranded colour work. As stranded colour work charts are read differently than slip stitch charts I was looking to understand how to read a slip stitch chart. I did not get that info from this class, but got it on another site...hence the 3 star review.

Give help where needed

I think the instructor went about this as a "how to read a pattern" class rather than "how to pick up stitches" class, which is the hardest part of this afghan. There's a lot to learn about picking up stitches and she really gave little instruction, direction and pointers on that.

Fun class

I am just about finished with my first block. The pattern seems to work up fast. The block has the color work and stitch changes to keep it interesting but is still pretty easy to work up.

Like others, I was confused by the RT LT. I went to youtube to find a better video. That was a big help. There do appear to be a couple places on the pattern that are unclear or incorrect but it seems that most patterns are that way.

It was worth my money as it inspired me to try ...
