Overcome your free-motion fears! Wendy guides you step by step through a simple machine quilting process, from setting up a workspace to sandwiching, pin basting and binding. As you practice, first on paper, then with your machine, you'll build confidence in your machine quilting skills. Wendy teaches you the stipple stitch, outlining and easy curves before moving on to more adventurous designs, including zigzagging, continuous vines and continuous stars. You’ll also learn to mark your quilt with homemade stencils and special marking tools or forgo marking all together!

Wendy Butler Berns, Instructor of Machine Quilting
Wendy is an award-winning teacher, quilter and the author of Photo Album Quilts. Her quilts have appeared in regional, national and international juried shows, including the International Quilt Show in Houston and the American Quilter's Society show in Paducah, KY. She received the Jewel Pearce Patterson scholarship for quilting teachers in 2009, and her articles have appeared in Quilting Arts, Quilters Newsletter and other publications. She teaches and lectures about the art of quilting at conferences, guilds and retreats across the country.
