Wow! Great resource
I was given a serger by a friend who lives on the other side of the country when she upgraded so I had no one around to help me learn. I took this class and immediately felt better about the learning curve. Amy is a wonderful teacher. She's approachable and when I had a problem with my machine she looked at the manual online (that I didn't know existed) and helped me out.

Worked for me
Having never used an overlocker/serger I decided to buy one - worse that that I bought it online so didn't even get a demo. Terrified at the idea of a knife chopping away at speed I bought this couse. I hear what others say about camera angles but the only thing I can really judge it on is can I now use my overlocker and that's a YES. I went from being terrified to confidently being able to thread my machine and adjust the tensions until it is correct for the fabric. I'm no longer scared. ...

Great Teacher, Great Class
First off, I want to say that I do have a few issues--but none with Amy, the instructor, the materials, the projects, etc. My issues are in the camera work-Amy will say something like "and if you look closely here" and then instead of zooming in on what she is doing, or even leaving the camera facing what she is doing, the camera will switch to the front view and you cannot see at all.
BUT Amy will post pictures if you ask in the video question area. She is very good at responding ...

I sure hope there is more from Amy to come!! Loved her way of teaching, the projects and the fun! I feel much more comfortable using my serger as I used to be tense when serging in fear I would break something! I am enjoying playing with different threads, fabrics and making fun projects!
