I am glad to be here at Craftsy to help you familiarize yourself with one of the most intimidating tools for new and experienced sewists alike: the sewing machine. The information provided by Claudia was informative and clear. I bought a machine and only had 1 free hour of free class that showed the different parts and options of stiching of the machine and this FREE video complements everything im suppose to know. I have been sewing for years. My grandmother originally taught my sister and I, but I have mostly been self-taught since. So I haven't known much of the basics of sewing machine hygiene or some of the troubleshooting that she goes over in the video. Good stuff.

I did the whole class although I have been sewing since practically the dawn of time. I love that older vintage machines are covered here as well as modern machines, and the explanations are of things you really need to tell a new machine owner, and helpful hits on several aspects not that basic. Great work, and I hope everyone who buys a machine takes this class!
