Annette Kennedy is a photographer, pattern maker, fiber artist, painter, traveler and teacher who combines all the things she loves in the medium of painted pictorial quilts. Although she has never had any formal art education, Annette has always loved to create. She learned to quilt as an adult, soon moving to original landscape and pictorial art quilts. As a military wife, she has lived in many places, using her camera, fabric and paint to capture the beauty she finds.

Annette has exhibited at the International Quilt Association Show in Houston and a long list of regional and national shows. She lives in Longmont, Colo., with her husband Rick.

A wonderful workshop! I learned so much! Annette was clear and was very helpful during and after the workshop. It is great to be able to go back to it when I start a new project in case I have forgotten a step.

Excellent VERY INSPIRING   May 15, 2012

I loved this class because I had no idea you could do so much with painting on cloth to make interesting quilts. It opened up a whole new world of quilting for me, and my first project, (other than the lily and the grand canyon) was so admired by all that have seen it. They were in awe at how painting on cloth can bring a picture to life. So, I thank Annette for her lessons and I think she explained things very well. I do agree with a couple of other reviews, that the camera was ...

The instructor and the class was very inspiring, but the camera work needed something to be desired. Many times the camera angle blocked the technique instructor was trying to show. It did seem that after a while it got better so I actually blame the editing. The workshop was awesome though so I still recommend watching it.

I finished the Lily, and am very happy with the results. I gained confidence in my ability to paint, I have always been apprehensive in this area. Annette did a great job of explaining as well as showing the strokes.

I did feel like the camera should have focused more on the hands as she was working, however overall I am more than satisfied.

I have been a great promoter of Craftsy, all four of the classes I have enrolled in have been of excellent quality. I find that ...

After watching the 1st and 2nd part, I felt the camera was not focusing on what the teacher was talking about. Also I feel the class information is being dragged out and could go a little faster. I like detail but it's almost too slow for me, especially since we can go back and review the info again and again. There is not much chance for being creative because we basically just copy her patterns - I would prefer info and then work on my own pattern which I know I could do. I see the ...

What an amazing class! I learned many techniques for painting on fabric as well as mixing paints. Her step by step approach and actually doing the projects and talking me through them helped enormously!
I have spent hours reviewing different portions of the class and I absorb new things each time I look at them. I am ready to start my own project now!

I loved this class and teacher. I learned so much. Bought all the supplies for both projects excited to start. I will be starting at the beginning and working along with Ms. Kennedy. I have always loved painting and quilting and with this I can combine both. The floating medium I could not find but did get it on line at PLAID ON LINE.COM
