Learn it...

In Drab to Fab Furniture Upcycling, artist Ann Marie Auricchio will show you how to revamp your home & outdoor space on a shoestring budget by "upcycling" inexpensive items found in attics, thrift stores and garage sales. Ann Marie demonstrates decorative painting methods such as faux finishing, distressing and crackling, then shows you how to achieve professional quality results using sophisticated stencil, stripe and tape techniques. What's more, you'll learn how to master these skills using nontoxic approaches and environmentally friendly materials.

Ann Marie will also teach you how to identify styles and eras of furniture design, as well as the secrets to distinguishing which items are worthy of upcycling and which are better left untouched. From small items like picture frames and flower pots to larger pieces of accent furniture, Drab to Fab will arm you with the skills, know-how and confidence to complete a million dollar makeover on a budget.

I wanted to say "thank you, so much" for this terrific course. I found the content to be delivered in an entertaining yet concise manner. The presenter has loads of experience and even if I didn't love a particular items or techniques there was loads of info about how to change techniques to suit my style.
The course teacher is US based but I found that armed with her descriptions of products I was able to procure similar things here in Australia.
I guess what the course gave me most ...
