Great content and an excellent tutor
I'm thoroughly enjoying working through this course. Claudia is an excellent teacher, and explains and demonstrates techniques so that they are clear and easy to understand and follow. I've learned loads, and am itching to try everything at once!
I'd love to get a Mirrix loom, but can't afford one for now. However for anyone who's concerned about having to have a specific loom, or use specific yarns, beads, etc - that isn't the case. I ended up buying a cheap child's loom on eBay ...
Hey LJPwrites...can you read? Claudia does not require the Mirrix loom for her classes. She suggests you make YOUR OWN CHOICE!
This has been one of the best classes ever for loom work. Claudia offers options for what fiber to use. I am not using the gold she sells and I am still very happy with my results!

Excellent Class and Instructor
I want to thank Claudia and Craftsy for making this class available. The project could be done on any loom, even a handmade loom from 4 pieces of wood, and the materials required are whatever you happen to have in the way of beads and yarn. Nothing expensive is required and I was able to recycle all sorts of things into my project. I had some old jewelry that I took apart for beads and had lots of leftover sport weight knitting wool and embroidery floss for the warp and weft.

Clever, Fun and Thorough!
As a tapestry weaver and long time owner of a Mirrix Loom I have really enjoyed this class not only because it results in lovely hand crafted jewelry but because I marvel at the clever way Claudia is able to teach basic tapestry techniques with such quick, acsessable and successful projects. It is so much fun you may not realize how much you are learning!

The video supports the Mirrix Loom community of weavers, but is No WAY LIMITED to using just a Mirrix Loom. Many less expensive looms may also be used with minor adjustments.
