Sunni Standing is proprietress extraordinaire of A Fashionable Stitch (link: http://www.afashionablestitch.com), where she blogs about her passion for sewing and peddles hard to find, fine sewing notions especially for garment sewing. She first started blogging in 2007 where she began expounding on her re-discovered passion for sewing. A Fashionable Stitch documents her battles for perfect fit in addition to providing a library of tutorials from seam finishing to lining a vented skirt. Sunni was named a BurdaStyle Ambassador in 2011 and participated in putting together filmed sewing tutorials for the BurdaStyle e-book. Additionally, Sunni has written articles for Sew Hip!, a UK based magazine, has been featured in several sewing publications including Vogue Patterns magazine and currently teaches sewing classes at Yellow Bird Fabrics, Utah's finest apparel fabric shop. She is a native of Utah, currently residing in Salt Lake City where she can be spotted at least once a week at her favorite fabric shop haunt purchasing more beautiful cloth that she doesn’t need or at home, working on her latest creation with a spot of tea.
