Craftsy’s Birthday Card Contest 2014: And the Winner Is…
My goodness Craftsy members! You all are a very talented bunch. Looking at all the amazing submissions for the Craftsy Birthday Card Making Contest was just about the best 3rd birthday present we could’ve ever asked for! There were so many fabulous paper crafts submissions, we had trouble choosing a winner. However, one lovely card did stand out among the rest. So without further adieu, 1st place goes to…
The Winner of the 2014 Craftsy Birthday Card Making Contest:
We love this whimsical birthday card from Craftsy member AnnMartin, who repurposed materials in ways we never though possible!
The base of the card uses blank embossing card stock along with graduated color quilling paper and text-weight orange paper. Now here’s the amazing part: the silver strips were taken from an old book and the lace edging below the “cake” came from an old pillowcase! The lace was actually a handmade crochet piece from her grandmother. A sweet card with an even sweeter story makes for a birthday card that truly touches the heart.
Fantastic work, Ann! We’ll be reaching out to you soon regarding your $150 Michaels gift card!
We really were so blown away by all the entries. Thank you so much to every single paper crafts artist who took the time to create and submit their lovely projects. Find inspiration in these amazing works from the Craftsy community!
