Craftsy Photo of the Week: Capturing Flowers

Posted by on Feb 23, 2014 in Photography |

“This photo taken last spring is a sample of macro shot by auto macro setting in my Nex-7 camera,” says Joseph Choi, the Craftsy member who captured this week’s Craftsy Photo of the Week.

The daisies in his photo are bursting with color, and his composition creates an image reminiscent of fireworks.

Choi, who snapped this image of pink daisies as part of Photographing Flowers, used a F3.5 30mm macro lens.

“I used a 10 seconds delay to capture clear shot on mono pod,” said Choi. “I had to get closer to the flowers because the lens I used is 30mm. I just order an extension tube to get a shot from a little bit distance away. Hope to get a 100mm tele-macro lens soon for my sony A99V full frame camera.”
