This week’s Photo of the Week is by Craftsy member Paulusjames.
“I have photographed a few sunsets but had never given a sunrise shot a go. I’ve always really wanted to spend some time in Dartmoor taking photographs. I hit the road really early and climbed two very rocky slopes in the dark in order to reach these Tors.” Paulus says of his image, Dartmoor.
To capture this incredible image, Paulus used a “D90 with a 17-55mm 2.8. Filters were going to be tricky to use here due to the outcrops of rock, so he opted to underexpose to retain the beautiful colors in the sky, and gently bring the rest up in Lightroom.” He mentioned that the biggest skill he applied though was patience, waiting for breaks in the rain and waiting for the light to hit the rocks in just the right way.
