Volunteers of America

Help Craftsy Cares spread the love to seniors in need this Valentine’s season. We’re thrilled to partner with Volunteers of America to provide handmade garments and blankets to help seniors stay warm this winter.

For over 115 years, Volunteers of America has assisted not only seniors in search of independence, but also veterans and people with disabilities. Nearly 2.5 million people in more than 400 communities across the country have benefited from their human service programs.

With our combined initiative, we’re challenging Craftsy community members to help the senior citizens in their region. If you’d like to participate, please create a shawl, lap blanket or scarf and then donate it to the Volunteers of America nearest you. To find the closest location, just click here.

This is wonderful! I recently moved to the Denver area and see VoA stuff all over, but hadn’t yet looked up what they do! I have a lot of fleece in my stash to use for a scarf…or ten…and perhaps some matching hats (have a pattern to use, too!).

    Yay, Craftsy!
