STITCHES West is almost here! Craftsy is so proud to be a sponsor because this is one of the best knitting conventions there is. That’s why we’ve got this $5.00 off Market Admission coupon. Print it out and bring it along, and you’ll save $5.00 you can use for knitting supplies!

I’m really sad to see you’re announcement about Stitches West and that you are billing it as a “knitting” convention. It’s true that knitters make up a larger number of the attendees, but you’ve just alienated all of those crocheters that you are trying to woo to your website. It would have been a nice touch to recognize those who crochet as attendees as well. Especially given that this is your Crochet Newsletter…

    1. David says:

Hi Sue, thanks for your comment. We truly didn’t mean to alienate or exclude any crocheters. You’re right that we did call it a knitting convention (when it’s both knitting and crocheting), and I’m sorry for positioning it in a way that suggests it’s not inclusive of crocheters. As we point out in the post, though, we’ve got both knitting and crocheting supplies at our booth. We’ve always been proud and happy to offer crocheting classes, workshops, patterns, and projects. So we hope to see both knitters and crocheters at the convention!
