Spotlight on a Craftsy Crafter: Knitpurlgurl

This Craftsy Spotlight is on Knitpurlgurl aka, Karrie Steinmetz, who has uploaded 57 incredible projects to Craftsy.  I’ve actually had the pleasure of virtually meeting Karrie, when I was a guest on her fiber arts podcast. She also writes a great craft blog, so be sure to check that out, too!

Karrie’s posted so many projects that it’s tough to choose my faves, but here are two.  (Click on any of these pics for more information.)

About her Transverse Shawlette, Karrie says:

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to use a recycled denim yarn in a way most people would not think to use it – a lacey shawl!

What are you most proud of?

The contrast of the texture of the yarn with the lacey edging of the shawlette.

What advice would Karrie give someone starting the Classic Mary Jane Slippers project?

PUT PUFFY PAINT on the soles so you don’t slip around the house!

Thanks, Karrie, for letting us put you in the spotlight!
