We love YouTube and have spent more hours than we would like to admit watching cats fall off television sets. However, if you want to find high quality content and actually learn something, doing so on YouTube often requires hours of digging through videos to find the useful nugget you need.
In contrast, Craftsy was designed specifically to provide the best learning experience possible online. Each Craftsy class is taught by a well-known, expert instructor and consists of several well-structured hours of HD-quality video content... but Craftsy classes are much more than just video!
While taking a Craftsy class, you can:

There are a few system requirements. The good news is you likely have everything you need. Craftsy is best when used on a computer manufactured in the past couple of years with a good broadband internet connection (not dial-up). We also highly recommend using the latest version of Safari or Chrome (download Chrome here) as your internet browser. The recommended screen resolution is 1024 x 768 or larger.
There's a Craftsy iPad and iPhone App available for FREE in the apple store. Check out our apps here! When you view your classes from the iPad/iPhone app will have have all the interactive features you've come to love from your computer like asking your instructor questions, posting photos, or downloading the class materials (to view them, please make sure you have iBooks installed).
If you aren't able to switch your class from a vertical view to a horizontal one, check the switch above the volume buttons on the right side of your iPad. Depending on how your iPad is set up, this button when turned on (you will see orange) may lock the orientation and prevent you from moving it into landscape mode. If you see this orange dot, please slide the button up so you no longer see the orange circle.
If that doesn't help, your button may be set to mute your volume. In this case, click on the home button once to get to your home page. Then double click on the same home button, this will open a bar at the bottom with your open apps. If you swipe this bar to the right you will see the orientation settings. In the left corner you should see a icon with an arrowed circle. If there is a lock icon in the center, please click on it once to remove the lock. This will allow you to change your iPad's orientation.
Yes! You can watch your classes from any device with a high speed internet connection. Please keep in mind to partake in the interactive features like asking questions, taking notes, and accessing class materials, you will need to view from the free Craftsy ipad/iPhone app or your full computer. As Craftsy proceeds to grow we will continue to release more options and apps for our entire Craftsy community. We understand not everyone has an iPad and we want to make sure everyone can enjoy the site in the best way possible. We're working on more app options now! Until then, you can continue to enjoy the full Craftsy experience from your laptop or desktop computer.

No, not at all. If you want to use your Facebook photo to represent you on Craftsy, or if you want to share anything on Craftsy with your Facebook friends, you can do so, but you certainly don't have to.
We are always looking for fantastic instructors. If you are interested in teaching a class, please complete and submit our Instructor Class Proposal Form. You will be asked to provide several details we use in identifying and selecting world-class instructors and classes, including: a description of the class you would like to teach, your professional bio, and a link to your website.
Once you've begun watching your class, you will see a "Materials" tab above your video. If you click on this tab you will find printable resources for your class! Depending on how your computer is set up, they may automatically download to a file on your computer or you may be asked to choose where to save them.

No, not at all. If you want to use your Facebook photo to represent you on Craftsy, or if you want to share anything on Craftsy with your Facebook friends, you can do so, but you certainly don't have to.

Yes, our limited quantity items do sell out.
When an item sells out we cannot guarantee that we will have another deal including the same product and/or at the same price. We always looking to bring you great supplies, so continue to check back on Craftsy Supplies even if what you are looking for has sold out!
For each physical good order shipped by Craftsy (please note some items are shipped by a third party indicated in the product description before checkout), you will receive an automated email with a tracking number.
You can also find this information in your order history. Sign in here, then click on "order history" located in the grey bar towards the top of your screen.
Orders placed in the US should arrive within 7-10 business days once shipped.
Please note we do not guarantee every product will arrive within that time frame. For each package we will provide a tracking number by email that will allow you to follow your order along its journey. You can also find this tracking number in your order history on Craftsy, just click on "Your Account" in the top right hand corner of your screen, then in the gray bar you will see "Order History" to the right.
Vogue pattern orders in the US are expected to arrive in 14 business days. Please allow additional time for international orders.
If you have not received your pattern within the estimated arrival time or you think you might have provided an incorrect shipping address, please send us an email at help@craftsy.com with your shipping address and pattern size and we'll make sure your pattern is on it's way to you.

To do this, we've partner with a number of different manufacturers to be able to offer you patterns and kits for your classes. You will automatically be provided with tracking information for any part of your order that is shipped from Craftsy. Please not items shipped from third parties will not have a tracking number associated with them.

All orders shipped outside the United States are subject to appropriate taxes and tariffs determined by the receiving countries government based on the contents of your order.

Products eligible for return must be returned within 30 days of item delivery date in it's unused, original condition. Returns are accepted for orders that are incorrect, incomplete or damaged. Once we receive this item in the original condition we will issue you a full refund to your original method of payment for the cost of your product (unfortunately we are unable to reimburse shipping costs).

You are welcome you post any comments or questions for the pattern designer who created the pattern by clicking on the pattern itself and then on the "Comments" tab towards the top of the screen. By default you will receive a weekly email about your activity on Craftsy including comments back to you.

To post a picture of a project you've made in a Craftsy class you can click on the "projects" tab found above your class video or click here to get started. Under pattern/instructions details section, make sure to select "Craftsy class."
